Invitation to the Opening of the Exhibition “IN THE WORLD OF AMATEUR FILM”
You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition “IN THE COMPANY OF AMATEUR FILM”, which will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Photographic Museum Maribor, Koroška cesta 19.
Amateur film experienced a vibrant development in Maribor. Enthusiasts of the seventh art joined together in clubs where they exchanged knowledge and, individually or as a group, created an invaluable visual archive of the city. The exhibition was created in response to the donation of cameras, projectors, and video equipment from the Maribor Film and Video Club, as well as the legacy of their long-time president, Božidar Kunstelj.
The exhibition will be on display until December 31, 2026.
We look forward to seeing you and send our warmest regards!
The event will be photographed and recorded. By attending, you agree to be photographed or recorded, and for the photos and recordings to be used for publication on social media, websites, printed materials, and other media. The purpose of this is to promote the museum, inform the public, and document the event.
